Arrow crafting is a harsh mistress.

Yeah, when I became a ranger I thought I could just craft all of my arrows. But then I found out it takes level 29+ in woodworking to craft a damn level 17 arrow, and iron arrows are uncraftable because of their RIDICULOUS cost and need for equal levels in smithing. And silvers are impossible as well because of goldsmithing.

I guess this is the end of the road for my ranger. How suckish. It'd take me weeks and 100k + to even get to 29 just to make beetles. Jeez.

Wow that really sucks. I'm level 20 and i'm still making bone arrows.

Also in San Doria i was looking at AH arrow prices, Bone arrows sold for about 400 more than iron arrows. That doesnt make any sense to me.

sorry, but that's the nature of crafting! it costs lots to raise it to a decent level. woodworking is particularly forgiving however.

also you're looking at old recipes. all arrows can be made with only woodworking - you can use silver arrowheads instead of silver ingots (or whatever).

Seriously? So I don't have to have equal goldsmithing to make silver arrows with arrowheads? So I can get to 23 in wood and make silver with the ingredients I've bought... right? If so that's awesome, I'll level woodworking right away.

Now that I have 80k+ under my belt from farming, I think I'll do alright.
