[Bastok] Mission 3

I was curious as to if anyone else was having any problems with Mission 3 in Bastok (the quadov parts one)? A friend and myself have both done this mission and reached rank 2 but it is still on the list of missions to do and would not list the rank 2 missions until I went out and got the parts myself (3 of the 4 parts, had to get last one from auction house). After reaccepting the mission and giving the guard the parts again it finally listed the first mission for rank 2. I completed Mission 2/1 but it just lists the quadov parts mission still, has anyone confirmed that you have to go and get the parts from killing the Quadav in the mines and not buy them from the auction house?

I got past my mission by buying the parts from the Auction House. Now I'm meandering my way to San D'Oria to kill a dragon ;) I didn't have to do the Quadav Parts mission over again.

You don't have enough of the Rank 2 to get the next mission, do another mission over again (like the parts one) to gain some "Rank" and then you'll be offered it.

can also trade some crystals to the guard that gives a signet for rank points.

Found out that you could trade crystals a few days ago in jeuno, never knew that. Pretty cool :)

It seems from what several had said the Fetich and lizard egg ones dont go away but that doesnt matter to me now, I'm starting the Magicite mission in Jeuno now (Mission 4.1)

How do you get to the mines?

Best thing is to enter North Gustaberg from the Port Bastok area. You'll need to head around the mountain north of you, so start off going West, then North, then Northeast. The Palborough Mines entrance is around the northern end of that side of the map.

You can start from South Gustaberg too, but you'll need to take the eastern exit into North Gustaberg, since there's a cliff separating the westernmost part of North Gustaberg (the part that has the Outpost and the exit to Konschtat) from the rest (the part that has the exits to the Palborough Mines and Port Bastok).
