Phlanax at BCNM 40 Help

Hi I just wanted to ask a noob question cause I have no idea where to find it on this site I looked around but no luck.

It's about the BCNM, Can someone explain it to me... Im only level 24 But I'm curious. :sweat:

How do these things work? I want to try and get some of these spells here. Oh yeah ALL i know aobut this is that it had something to do with Beastmen Seals... I've been saving every single one of them since day one ^^

You can probably find alot of information if you use the search feature. BCNM stands for "Burning Circle Notorious Monster". You trade a certain number of beastmen seals to a fellow in Jeuno for orbs. The higher level the BCNM the more expensive orb is needed (namely more beastmen seals).

The way this works is that each Burning Circle dias is a gate into specific timed boss battle for said prizes. By trading the orb to the circle, you and your team are transported into the area to face the enemy. If the boss or bosses are defeated before the timer runs out, you get a treasure chest with random items (spells, equipment, jewels, gil etc.).

The trick is that these battles are level capped, BCNM40 is level capped at level 40.

But to answer your question about Phalanx, I think any of the BCNM40 battles drops Phalanx, but it's a rare drop, hence it's 300k+ price tag at AH. Refresh is much more common (thank God) and it sells for a lower price at AH... usually 20-80K depending on server.

Also AS soon as I hit level 40 im gonna keep BCNM40 untill I get the spells I need. Im just wondering what kind of PT is ideal for this. I was thinking of fighting those rabbits in yuhgrotto in ghelsbia. Can you guys help me out?

Easiest BCNM40 is the Giddeus against the Mandragoras, but it's still no pushover, and they will wipe out an unprepared party in 30 seconds. There are plenty of topics here with strategies, just use search for that.

And just so you know, you need 40 beastman seals every time you want to do them. If you could just do them as often as you wanted, refresh would probably sell for 5k and erase/phalanx would probably be about 40.
