Can a Hume Thief work just as well as a Mithra? Yes, there are many topics on this, but I want to start one more :)
Does anyone know of statistical proof that there are caps to Stats? Diminishing returns? This would end a ton of these types of posts.

I have seen myself do more than a Mithra. But I have seen an Elvaan do 3 points more than me, strange.
Humes are the sexiest THFs, fo sho.

Well I always play a thief and usually pick the race best suited, but I am having the Mithra race issues (dunno why, I have played Female Chars before and I am comfy with my sexual orientation...maybe it's because I am forced to do so).
If I knew what the caps were and that Humes were able to reach the same point of diminishing returns as Mithra, I'd be set.

If you look at the stat calculators a lot of the time the stats are not all that different, you may get an extra 8-10 dex as a Mithra at level 50.
The stat calculators do not tend to be wholly accurate tho.
I don't think you will really notice much difference between Hume and Mithra.
You're going to be staring at this character every time you play, with all your jobs. You might not even end up a thief.
The most important thing is that you make the character itself something you like. Really doesn't matter if you have 10 more dex or whatever, if a month later you really wish you were a hume.

Exactly Anya. I picked Elvaan cuz they appealed to me and I was *planning* on going WAR until I got PAL/WAR. But now that has changed to DRK/THF. But like these people have said, pick the race you like first off. If you are completely in love with a job, and want to be the absolute best there is at it, then race can be considered, but I don't think the difference in the race stats are significant enough to stop you from using a certain race/job combination.
Yep, Elvaan thief myself. Personally, I don't think the stats are significantly different from one another, so be the race you want to be.

Any High Level Hume thieves out there? I'd love to hear from you what your stats are like at different levels with gear as well as how you do!
