Raising your other weapon skills

Most classes have the benefit of being able to switch weapons and raise there skills, but paldadins in a PT are going to be the tank and really should be using 1hs/shield. That being said, I am level 40 now and have a 2 hand sword skill of 56. What is the best way to level up a weapon skill? Easy's dont seem to give very many skill up when I fight them.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

solo, mission, questing. you can lvl 2hs from those.

I've heard many importers speak of "Skill Up pt's". I assume these are PT's where all the members want to skill up weapons and such won't fuss about you being a less effective tank. I imagine you wouldn't take on IT type mobs, but surely you'll tackle mobs that will increase your skills more quickly.

I have yet to encounter a NA pt like this, so you may want to go to Jeuno and do some shouting to get your own skill up pt going.....And please, no one tell me this is rude, because Jeuno is the biggest shoutfest I have encountered in the game.....NA and JP players across the board.

You can level up your weapon skills when you're waiting for an invite, for me, I levelled my staff to 70ish in Qufim and Delkfutt, 100ish in Yuntunga Jungle. These places are not that far from Jeuno, so instead of sitting around waiting, I'd grab my staff and do some skill grinding. I've heard that the Jugs in Garlaige can bring your skill up to 220, haven't really tried it yet.

Skill Up Pt is get 6-18 ppl, as many as possible, with subjob whm/rdm and go fight things that are even - tough for the level of weapon you want to level. To get skill for B class weapon at say level 100, go fight things that a lvl 33 level up PT might fight.

Rarely do I tank at these PTs because some other class may want to get evasion, parry, shield, etc skill up. Alot of times you will get rdm,brd to join so its also good way for magic skill up.

Just dont leave all the curing up to the mages...they want skill up too ^^

For just plain weapon skills I'd wait for a gigantoad event and then grab every type of weapon, switch to warrior and start watching the skills go up as much as possible.

well to raise my gsword from 70 to 90 i went to yuhtunga and fought mandragoras by myself. what i would do is go fish a mandragora back to base and start wacking it with the sword, then when its close to dying, i would run into town and switch my sub from the nomad moogle and rinse and repeat. people don't mind if you do that, esp if you fish the same mandragora or kill the gobbies for them they'll be happy your there.
