Luckiest roll...ever

ever been to norg and talked to the dude who lets you spend 100 gil to gamble? well, i did.

the thing behind it, over a vana day, people roll a six sided die. and whatever they get, it adds to a running total for that day. once the total reaches 400, then whoever got it to exactly 400 gets 10k gil and an item. if you go over 400, you just get some item. random items too i think, but worthwhile if i'm not mistaken. anyway, check my roll :cool:

Everytime I obtain gil I don't see the amount change/ all I ever see is white text. The other thing... Either Square did mis-type something, or you did type that. Congatulations?... Maybe a slight lisp from that character? Doubt both possibilities, really.

My suggestion for later on, take a picture of what you started with, then while standing in the exact same position, bring up the menu again after getting the 10,000.

Whether this is a good enough way or not, I don't know. Still semi-new.

I won lucky roll right after I finished my samurai quest a while ago, won on my first roll ever ^ ^

The prize is indeed 10,000 gil, and that never changes. I didn't get an extra item with mine, just the 10k.

Don't really think it's a doctored pic. You'd hafta 'lasso' each letter that you wanted to use to make sure you didn't also copy a sliver of the slight light-blue/dark-blue gradient in the background, thus making the letters look obviously cut/pasted... and I don't think Calm would go through all that trouble just to get a little praise from his peers on a BBS.

Granted, the "ConGATulations" is an obvious typo, but could still easily be an oversight by SE during the translation before the NA release. Plus, it may be hard to spot/report one measly R since it's so hard to win at Lucky Roll anyways, no? I'm sure when someone wins 10k, the last thing on their mind is "check for spelling errors in that text and report them".

When you do quests and get money for it, the gil reward is always in white text. Only items are green. Next time you do one, keep an eye out for a colon in the "Obtained : xxx gil." message.
