Simple question(s) that I can't seem to find the answer to:
(1) If I use SMN as sub will auto refresh stack with the spell refresh?
(2) Does juice stack with refresh/auto refresh or is it pointless for a RDM or SMN?
(3) Same as above but for Vermillion (sp?) Cloak's auto refresh effect.
(4) Is there a chart or does anyone know how much MP per tick any/all of the above (...and Mage's Ballad 1+2) recover?
Thanks in advance, I've been thinking of leveling SMN to act as my RDM sub for MP+MP refresh and wanted to know this before making up my mind. :handsdown

Yes it will stack :)
(2) Does juice stack with refresh/auto refresh or is it pointless for a RDM or SMN?
Juices have exactly the same condition as refresh (there is a mp status icon) so it will not stack with refresh, but it will with SMNs passive.
(3) Same as above but for Vermillion (sp?) Cloak's auto refresh effect.
Someone please confirm this, I heard it does stack with SMN passive, it 100% stacks with reresh
(4) Is there a chart or does anyone know how much MP per tick any/all of the above (...and Mage's Ballad 1+2) recover?
Refresh spell - 3mp per 3sec
Ballad song - 1mp per 3sec
Ballad 2 song - 2mp per 3sec
SMN refresh trait- 1mp per 3sec
Orange, Apple, Pinapple Drink - 1mp per 3sec (duration varies)
Melon Drink - 2mp per 3sec
Yagado Drink - 3mp per 3sec

They all stack.
1) Refresh spell (or Juice)*
2) SMN's Auto Refresh
3) Refresh effect from the armor (e.g., Black Cloak, Vermillion Cloak)
4) Ballad songs**
* As Oro explained, Refresh spell doesn't stack with Juice.
** Ballad I and Ballad II stack if a BRD with a musical instrument sing them.
- Refresh Spell [Cost 40MP]: 3MP per 3sec - total 150MP in 150sec
- SMN's Auto Refresh: 1MP per 3sec
- Refresh effect from the armor: 1MP per 3sec
- Ballad I: 1MP per 3sec - total 40MP in 120sec
- Ballad II: 2MP per 3sec - total 80MP in 120sec
- Orange Juice: 1MP per 3sec - total 20MP in 60sec
- Apple Juice: 1MP per 3sec - total 45MP in 135sec
- Tomato Juice: 1MP per 3sec - total 60MP in 180sec
- Pineapple Juice: 1MP per 3sec - total 80MP in 240sec
- Grape Juice: 2MP per 3sec - total 60MP in 90sec
- Melon Juice: 2MP per 3sec - total 90MP in 135sec
- Yagudo Drink: 2MP per 3sec - total 120MP in 180sec
- Vampire Juice: 2HP/2MP per 3sec - total 60HP/60MP in 90sec
If there are both BLM and WHM in your PT, it may be good of you to choose RDM/SMN. I believe "Max MP Boost" that is a job trait of SMN gives you additional 50MP. This means you get additional 100MP at LV60 since it happens at SMN LV10, 30, 50, and 70.

I am fairly certain the smn MP Up trait adds an extra 10MP and not 50MP. Even without the trait smn still gives more to MP than blm or whm.
Max MP per lvl added as subjob (after first):
WHM 2mp/level
BLM 2.5mp/level
SMN 3mp/level

Mylek, yours is correct. I just chatted one of my friends, LV70 SMN. It adds extra 10MP. I'm not really sure how extra 50MP came from ^^;

Hmm i heard SMN's auto-refresh trait gave them the same effect as casted refresh, 3mp/3sec and that the mp up from that trait at 10 was +30mp :x
Subbing smn doesnt seem like a bad idea at all if you arent a taru rdm, if whats is posted above is true. You could get closer to even mp/hp with the smn sub (for convert of course) and add some truly rediculous mp regen on top of that, eek!

In most cases, wouldn't the usefullness of the spells of whm or blm make them better than smn?
