I feel dumb I answered my question in a few seconds :P
Jeuno magic shops, Rababo(wheres that?), and Widurst shops for 70-80k according to some other folks
btw does fame affect price of stuff from vendors?

I don't remember seeing Dispel on a vendor in Jeuno. I do know that it is on vendors in both Rababo and Windurst. Yes, it does depend on your fame. Nylia has pretty high fame in all the cities and the price was listed at 65k in Rababo. Rababo is the oasis town past the Korokoru Tunnels and Altepa Desert.
While we are on the subject of spell locations, where is a vendor that sells Stoneskin? I checked Jeuno, Selbina, Rababo, Bastok, etc. On my server Sandoria is the leading nation right now and when I checked their magic shop I didn't see it. Do you have to be a citizen of the leading nation to see the spell on the vendor? There has to be a place that sells it, the same guy has sold the last 20 copies of it on the Jeuno AH.

Yes I do believe you have to be a citizen of the leading nation to buy stoneskin

Actually, dependant upon your fame in Selbina, and how much Dispel is being sold for at Jeuno AH, you might get it for cheaper at Jeuno AH. For example, about a week ago, I checked price at Selbina, cost 80k, cost at Jeuno AH, 70k. So you might actually be getting a deal. Of course, I never have the money anyway...
Dispel isn't sold in Selbina, I think you mean Rabao.
Anyway, regardless of fame, Dispel is always sold for less in Rabao that Windurst, though with high enough fame, Dispel can be bought from the Rabao vendor for less than 60K. I was able to buy mine with max fame rank (talk to the region fame NPC to check your level) for approximately 56K. If you can find a buddy to buy it for you, great, if not you can repeat the La Thiene Cabbage quest in Selbina and the Beastcoin quest in Mhaura to maximize your fame in all 3 countries and Jeuno by proxy. It costs a little bit of money and time to do this, but it pays off in spades when you can buy items in vendors at ~20% discount.

so Arli are saying the fame you need in Rababo is a combination of all nations fame? or is it Norg or whatever that is...trying to understand this I guess :P I already have Bastok up a bit and working on sandy now...windurst is next :)

the fame you need in Rababo is a combination of all nations fame?
Correct.
Here's the chart.
San d'Oria + Bastok => Selbina => Rabao
If you fame in both San d'Oria and Bastok is high enough, it is also high in Selbina and iventually in Rabao.
Try to increase as much of your fame at these three cities as possible to get dispel cheaper in Rabao.

Thanks much Apple Pie! I think I'll skip windurst finish up my Sandoria quests and find a way to get mad La Theine cabbages cheap
La Thiene cabbages sell cheap from an outdoor vendor in Windurst. My LS pretty much did an entire day of going back and forth until we were "Heroes of X nation". One thing I noticed when we were farming for fame is that is that the AH in Rabao is the Sandorian AH and the AH in Kazham is the Bastok AH.

What do you mean "hero of x nation"? Is that something you get with tons of fame?

If your fame becomes highest level of the town, they call you something like"--- hero of x nation---."

Here's a good reference I found for getting to Rabao and Norg.

To correct an earlier statement: Stoneskin can only be purchased at the magic store of the country in 1st place. You do not actually need to be a citizen of it.
[Edited: Ment stoneskin, not dispel :P]

Thanks for the link. I'm still a bit confused though. What does the maps that have a big x on it mean? Are they not useful? And also where is Rab? Norg? Kar Tunnels?
Thanks for all the help. I'm sorry I'm so confused

OK, here's how you get to Rabao.
1. Batok Mines to Zeruhn Mines (http://n-s.vis.ne.jp/ff11/map/bastokmines/)
Go to D-7 at Bastok Mines to enter Zeruhn Mines.
2. Zeruhn Mines to Korroloka Tunnel (http://www.benri.gotohp.com/MAP-Zeruhn.htm)
Go to F-7 in Zeruhn Mines to enter Korroloka Tunnel.
3. Korroloka Tunnel to Eastern Altepa Desert (http://www.benri.gotohp.com/MAP-Korroloka.htm)
Only take a look at the 2nd map. You don't need others.
Go straight ahead to A-9 / A-10 to get to Eastern Altepa Desert . You nead both Sneak and Invisible on you while going through.
4. Eastern Altepa Desert to Western Altepa Desert (http://www.benri.gotohp.com/MAP-EAltepa.htm)
This is probably the hardest one since you don't have a map of desert areas because it is sold at Rabao...
Try to get to I-6 although you have no way to confirm where you are. There's always some PTs around there for leveling. You need Sneak on you to avoid Anticans.
5. Western Altepa Desert to Rabao (http://www.benri.gotohp.com/MAP-WAltepa.htm)
You'll be K-7 of Western Desert. Rabao is almost there (L-5). Just run for North.
Well, I tried to get there, too when I was LV42. I walked for more than 4 hours alone but I never got to Western Desert since I was stuck around J-7 of Eastern Desert where there is an entrance of Quicksand Caves.
If you have the same experience as I had, I may be able to help you out to get there because I'm also on Gilgamesh. You may not see me on weekdays because I live in Japan (= 16 hours difference between Japan and West Coast) and I always work till late at night but I'll be online almost all day long on Saturday. If you find me, "Grendal" in your search, just "tell" me. I'll also help you to get Teleport-Altep gate crystal because it'll be necessary after LV45 or something.
#Edited: Correct links since what I previously posted cannot be directly seen from the outside.

I forgot to mention one thing.
I believe there's a way to get directly to Western Altepa Desert from Korroloka Tunnel. I think it's easier according to the map.

Cool Applie Pie, I'll look for you when I'm online. But if you ever see my information hidden it means that my real life friend is trying out the classes with my character before he get's it for PS2.
Hope to see you soon Applie Pie!
