The New Servers

Hey, I realize this has nothing 2 do with RDM's, but since I am one, I've found a lot of useful information from certain RDM's who come 2 this board so, that being said, I just wanted to know whats the deal with these new servers. I just started playing recently and I happened 2 land on the Asura server. I've seen slight references to New Servers on certain sites but none of them seem 2 go into much detail. When exactly did these new servers come to be? Or have they been here. I don't exactly remember hearing of an Asura Server from the start so I believe its new. Is this a North American server? I seem to have run into some Japanese players so I'm not sure. Even if there are Japanese players, are these new servers based in North America? And if so, when did they arrive. Before the PC version was released in NA, I think they opened up 2 new servers. (Midgardsormr and Fairy I think) The players who already had characters had the option of changing servers to one of the new ones. Alot of them did (they didn't lose their character info- it's called worldshifting) Then, when all the NA players got the game, they are randomly placed on various servers according to server population. You just happened to land on Asura.

If you remake your character to start in Bastok, keep in mind that you lose it, so you will have to start all over. To make it easier for yourself, I recommend keeping your old character, making a new one in Bastok, then transfering all your items and money to your new character, then delete the old one. That way, at least you can start with some money and decent equipment. (spells are not transferable though)

BTW, to transfer your stuff, just go to your mog house or the auction house, and mail your stuff to your new character while using your old character. Kinda confusing, I know, but worth it.

I'm really new to this game Gman... I honestly don't have much to transfer except for the Bind and Blind spell scrolls I found... My LvL 7 Leather Armor... and... That's really it. When I think about, it does seem worth it to transfer it 2 my new guy. I'll see What I'll do. Thx a lot.
