I want to create a new character in a different world to my other character. But, it just puts it on the same server. I've tried the esc trick at the handle screen afew times, but its always on the same server. Wat can i do? will i need a wp? i don't care what world i'm in. Just another

You'll have to delete your account and re-make another.
Or you can use the easier path and have someone give you a WorldPass.

What the real question is...Why are you so desperate to leave your server?

i believe if u try to make a character whose name already exsits on the server, it'll be "routed" to other servers. so in theory, if u name ur new character the same as ur first in fenrir, it'll be on a sever other than fenrir.
well, it's just my guess. someone has to actually try this to see if it's really possible.

Im locked on Carbuncle and tried to start a 2nd char whos name was already taken on this server. They just said that the name was invalid and I had to enter another one. I didnt get routed to another server.

It's no routed to another server but it seems they pick a random server then check the name, if it's free you get onto the server. So if it says your name is claimed, go back to the root menu and restart the character creation and you might get a new server where it isn't named. Don't try this with common names like the 100 variations of Sephiroth though, it's an excercise in futility.
