I have a hewlett pakard pavilion..... i habe aol....... 17GB ultra dma hard drive.... pentium 3 windows 98.... and 128 mb sdram memory........ Is it enough fo FFXI

like Carbon says, i don't think that even runs the benchmark.

buying a new pc would be the surest and easiest way to play... upgrading could cost as much as buying a new one.

Yes, considering the specs he has upgrading would be the cost of a new PC, would be upgrading everything basically hehe.

actually if you throw in even a pci 64mb ram vid card it'd run it... just not good

don't listen to everyone else cause there wrong i played on a hp before i rebuilt....

trust me tho if u wanna enjoy the game you'd best have a decent pc to make it look pretty

i ran fraps ,that fps display thingie , when in battle , i get 8fps , i have

1gig AMD DURON
256MB RAM
Ge Force MX200 64MB

when im running about or on choc i get about 20-24 , i havent seen 30 fps unless i stand in the corner and point my cam at the floor ^^
new pc soon though ^^

To answer the original question, no if it did run...it wouldn't run very good. Like it has been said though, run the benchmark and see what happens.

I would also be interested in knowing exactly what your 3d card is though with a PC like that.....
