A few simple (newbish) questions about switching allegiance...

Hi guys, sorry if this is a really stupid question but...
If I switch from Bastok to Sandoria, do I lose all my CP? Also, do I start over from rank 1 (I'm guessing yes >_<)?

Reason being there are some nice Sandoria CP items I want, compared to crap in Bastok CP items... And it might be cheaper to just switch allegiance than to shell out for the items in AH.

From what Ive heard (havent tried it myself) when you switch, you start over at 0 CP, and rank 1, but if you switch back to your original country again, you resume from your previous rank and your original CP. I'm told it works a bit like switching jobs.

u r right, Gman.

when u change ur allegiance, u start over at rank 1 w/ no conquest points carried over. but ur rank and cp w/ ur former kingdom is saved, and when u switch back, it'll be restored.

keep in mind that u have to pay the fee to do this, which ranges from 4k to 40k, depending on the conquest ranking of the kingdom u wish to move to at that time. (the lower the ranking, the less u'll pay.) and this fee is not refundable even if u decide to switch back.

btw, when u change ur allegiance, u get to see the opening movies of the new country, like the one u saw in bastok.

Thanks for the great responses guys. I was hoping to get Sandoria rank 5 items (which are 70-80k in AH) instead of bastok rank 5 (40k) but I guess I'll just have to shell out the money =(

Bah I wish I started in Sandoria now... then again I hate the music :P

I would be willing to trade sandorian CP items for Bastok CP items. I'm rank 3 with about 20k cp. I really want the level 40 bastok gear so if you want to set up a trade (I'm on midgardsormr) send me a tell in-game. I should be rank 4 within a week or so.

I'm on midgarsormr as well... I am very grateful for your trade offer and would like to make the trade, but the items I want are rank 5 items. If you are still interested (and plan to become rank 5 sometime) I would be happy to trade some bastok rank 4/5 items with you (equal cp of course, like 2 rank 4 items for 1 rank 5, or whatever).
