It would seem that the plans for PlayOnline was made more than 10 years ago. I was curious and I looked up the records for the pol.com domain name, and noticed it was registered for that long. Very interesting. 10 years of planning and making.

POL makes no reference to final fantasy...
it's Play Online...

any game offering multi-player online game play would love that domain...

PlayOnline was up when they made FF9 for the PSX. Their hintbook system was set up to be online as much as possible, which was a great failing imo.

This is interesting news...thanks for the extra info...doesn't make much difference to my gaming experience of today but it is breaking news to keep in the noggin :thumbsup:
