Im a big fan of FF and when the chance to play not just FFXI but a online version of Tetra Master / Tripple triad came up i just had to give it a go...
after a while im as addicted to playing that as i am the FFXI game itself but i dont seem to notice a lot of ppl on them as are ingame. i got a pretty decent collection of cards but find myself playing the com more than other ppl :(
im trying to work on a complete card list atm too but does anyone actually play it or am i kinda on my own? lol itd be better if you could not only play it seperatly from FFXI but if you could battle in spare time while playing (like when healing and waiting for ppl to turn up or pull)

I play it too and am also out to complete my collection. Unfortunately, that's nearly impossible for us to do since the immensiley rare cards suchs as Yuna's Wedding and stuff need to be purchased either with Luck Points or at the Auction, which is pratically unaffordable.

I have never played against another player before though. I think that's kind of the same thing with lots of players, trying their luck against CPU players but afraid to engage other human players.

Tell me one thing, do you lose cards playing against each other the same way as you would against the CPU? Could I lose all 5 cards with a perfect? Because, that would really scare me away from Player VS Player encounters.

Im not really an individual card collector, yet more like a power card collector. I've got some really Decent cards, Yet no good players to play against, so Im up for a match whenever! Send me a message, my POL Handle is Furi for all Media, FFXI, TM and POL Chat. :)

It would be nice if you could play in game while waiting for groups and such. Being able to walkaound and challenge people or NPCs like in FFIX would be awesome :)

At the moment it is a bit of a waste having it seperate :(

They should have just made it a mini-game in FFXI... Something you can do at tavern or an inn... something like that.

That's just impossible. Both use a completely different engine so combining both is impossible.

yea if you and me had a match and you won a perfict i would lose all my cards (as you would normally against a NPC) but it also means you can win new cards that the NPC dont have by battling players...i looked at the ranking and i really dont wana face the guy called AURON but itd be a interesting match lol

I've started playing it. I love it, to tell you the truth, but I think the problem is that FFXI is so addictive AS IS that even though this game is very good and addictive in its own right, not many people are pulling away from FFXI to play it.

I myself play it when I dont have the 2+ hours to devote to FFXI, like between classes. Still havn't played a person, but from what I saw YES you can loose cards, dont know about perfects, but I assume its possible there too! But cards seem to be so easy to come accross (the computer is predictable, and you can allways get some game worth ones off of it.) that you shouldn't worry too badly about loosing them. Thats part of the thrill.
