ATI 9600XT good??

I just won this through a contest at stratics luckily and i was curious:

Is this a good card? It seems like it will rock! I was originaly going to build a desktop with a 9600SE or a nvidia 5600XT. Will this card leave those in smoke? Thanks for the help :P

Okay! I was unaware that there was a 128MB version of that card. I thought it came in 256? Still, its the very best version of the Radeon9600. XT cards sort of auto-overclock themselves depending on a temp sensor.

The XT will certainly smoke the SE, which is vastly inferior. Its made as a budget card. At this point, besides the nVidia 5950, it is my opinion that all their cards are pretty much...crap. Great luck on that contest and enjoy your card!

sweet! i read about the auto over clock of ATI's newest 9800XT but i was unaware that this one has that feature, this rocks! The speed of the core is double that of the nvidia i was thinking of buying! Thanks a bunch mate!! :cool:

It is marginally better than the Pro. If you can get a good deal on it, go for it - otherwise the Pro is a better value and should perform the same.
