Ohayo gozaimasu, Kakashi Hatake san.
I have some advice since you decided to ask! ,,^^,,
Congrats on getting the game, first off! Additional - make sure you study to know which job you wish to start as, it is very important. Next, join a good linkshell, it will be more fun that soloing and being lonely.
Please post your job choice and intentions for advanced job so I may properly help you.
If you would like to come on Asura or Leviathan, we would be happy to have you, just look up my player names in-game on those servers <in sig>.
I have replayed the game with Dragoon now (up to lvl 25) and I learned a lot... There are good newbies and BAD ones.. For example, I was in a party in Qufim at level 20. We had a party of all beginning jobs except me and I told them straight off, "I've been level 20-30 in Qufim if you need any help just ask me" and went on to say that I would tell them which monsters were fast xp and which would be the death of us... First off, I told them bats = no no because their special attack kills mages and damage dealing classes with low armom. Well the first thing they pulled was a bat... It hit the WAR with the special (luckily) and did so much damage that we beat it with him have ~40 hp left and we got only 40-50 xp... I'm just, ok you see why I told you not to pull bats let's just live and learn ^^. Night comes around again. The Warrior tells us "No clippers or worms around pulling a bat". I'm just like >.< I hope no one dies. Well low and behold it goes after our mages and begins to ready it's special... The 2 WARs both are slow on the voke so I decide to voke it off. 270 dmg == dead taru... And this is only one story out of many I've got so far.
When I was a n00b I was DROOLING for advice from higher level players but now it seems as if every party ignores me... So if you are new and partying with an advanced job LISTEN to them pls... It will benifit us both.
I posted this in another thread ^^

There is one such guard at every city gate, and he is always marked with some two letter combination after his name, like T.K. in San d'Oria.
Signet will make all the difference to your finances at the start. With Signet on you, you will find crystals when soloing, which you can sell for good money in the auction house. And with Signet on you, you also collect conquest points, with which you can "buy" additional equipment at the same guard.

Arigato gozaimasu everyone!
Firstly, i'll be happy to join your LS Kil'jaden! Thank you for that :).
[One thing i need to know: Is your chars. as beautiful as the anime persons in your sig? Hehe...^^]
But, back to my (future) main character ^^: Like many others, i'll start up, training a Thief char. Then i'll evolve him into a Ninja. After i get him levelled to a proper level. I'll start training him as a Warrior, which in the long run will be a Paladin or Dark Knight.
But my virtual "life" will go like this ^^:
New Char. ---> Thief ---> Ninja ---> ????
|---> Warrior ---> Paladin/Dark K.

:sweat:
Nani? That seems a bit convoluted...
It would be bad for you to do that on one character because the time constraint would be years :\
I can see if you wanted to make a DK/PLD or PLD/DK, and a NIN/THF, bit not that much! You will need more than one character!

Hmm...really? I didn't think that it would take such a long time :sweat:, i thought that you could maybe get tanked to a high level...well that was it for my ultimate char. :spin:
