Judging by his low MP.. he probably went there as a very low level mage... no surprise he was hit for that much. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Uh, it looks like that's a BST in AF Celeras. O.o
It even says in the log:
"Name of person" ‚Ì?UŒ‚?B?@ƒNƒŠƒeƒBƒJƒ‹?I
?¨Tonberry Creeper ‚É?A‚P‚R‚Q?@ƒ_ƒ??[ƒW?B
Assuming that the person who did 132 damage is the same person who is dead in that picture, one can safely conclude that the person isn't a low level mage, but a BST subbing WHM. Five-digit figures for damage is definitely out of the ordinary if you ask me.

Nah, doesnt look like bst af to me. To get to that location, the low lvl person would have needed someone to sneak/invis em along, probably. Thats probably the person that hit it for 132.

May i suggest getting your eyes checked? For someone with "327" job levels i'd expect a bit more from you...:sweat:
That's an Elvaan/Male/Beastmaster in full AF

I think Extreme was a bit throwen off, Zero, because in the screen you posted he was clearly wearing Royal Squire like pants. (- -) Maybe I'm wrong, but yeah that's BST AF. and maybe he got there from having WHM/RDM subbed to have invis/sneak/deo and that's why he's got so little MP.

Extreme

Geezus i dont see it, stop friggin grinding me about it. It DOESNT look like the bst af to me, i dont see any weapons equipped, and im not seeing the trademark headpiece. I see how it MIGHT be bst, but when i looked at it I saw royal squire. Thats what i see, lay off
PsychoMatrix
12-05-2003, 12:22 PM
there was no royal squire in the tonberry picture,only in the one i sent you,the helmet is on the dead guy,the chest piece of on the dead guy,the boots pants and gloves are there as well,no need to get so pissy about it.:spin:

Celeras,Mornamarth said "Hi" and he agrees that it's BST AF,Just compare the chest pieces and the top of the boots in the picture that i showed you,you will see 3 flaps of fur near the waist,the fur around the neck and the knee of the boots :thumbsup:

Aw... it's okay Extreme. ^^;
But in order to get sneak/invisi-ed you would have to be with the caster in the same party. Clearly the person in that picture is all by himself. Unless the person disbanded right before the Tonberry attack, it's logical to say that the person in that photo brought himself there.
Anyway, not like it matters if he brought himself there or not. I'm just pointing out the obvious and being really anal about something trivial and meaningless. Sorry. XD *Hides*

so let me get this straight,because a picture is dark I can't cleary tell what it is? the picture is far from being black. I didn't insult anyone the only thing i said that you MAY take offence to is when i asked if you were blind (If you took offence to that then you've got issues)

That picture was posted long ago before, that BST just killed massive amount of tonberries in yhoater+ugga whatever for days straight without resetting his hate. Just a planned joke, when he decided to get shot by the ton's 2 hour. Similar to the zirat m4.
Tonberry Creeper's aren't NM or anything, so that move isn't a 2hr. I bet he just always let his pet take the damage and never really had to worry about reseting his hate. Maybe he was finally caught without a pet and the tonberry used Everybody's Grudge.

I love tonberry's... probably my favorite monster in FF.
:biggrin:
if only you could tame them... aghhh then i would really enjoy things... me and a tonberry chillin out killing stuff.
Ok, Just cause no one went and did this.......I felt I had to clear this up.

Clearly is BST...Just thought I had to do that. Why didnt anyone do this before? :confused: :biggrin:

LMAO its obvious he just got a low lvl character and did armor model swap easy yet so funnily decieving:cool:
I'm sorry, but how is that so obvious?
Lakai
04-20-2004, 08:19 PM
It isnt obvious its a low lvl... I doubt any low lvls stroll in to there and hit a Tonberry for what? 132 I think it was? Anyway as Elite said it was some sort of planned joke, or the guy forgot to reset his hate... no big deal O_o Doesn't really even matter what job he is thats still a massive amoutn of damage :)

When subbing RDM or WHM.. MP *is* that low if you don't use +MP equip. Base MP was 112 as 61 DRG and fully lvled WHM sub ^^
Besides, I've spent enough time in Uggaleppi to know it takes a bit of fighting for a Tonberry to use Grudge against you (ask anyone in my LS.. they'll agree I spend an unhealthy amount of time sneaking around that zone ^^)..
... taking that amount of DMG is pretty feasable.. never reset hate and level off berries a lot... I had 1300-1500 Grudge before I was finally forced to reset my hate for JM4... ^^;;
Xccoortri
04-28-2004, 08:42 PM
If you kill tonberries all day and don't reset hate it's obvious it will do 10k damage, not obvious that he is using a low level character. He wouldn't have to be using a low level character if he did all that and never reset his hate! Jeez
I see all this "Resting Hate" stuff, what does that mean? how do you rest hate? just never heard that term used before...
Nodoka
04-30-2004, 04:42 AM
From what I gather...
If you kill alot of Tonberries, you get Tonberry hate. There is a quest to clear out your hate from Tonberries. If you have alot of hate the attack, the attack "Everyones Grudge" does more damage. ^^; I get that person must have genocided a lot of em. ^^;;;
But again, I'm not 100% on that.
Elaron

in every FF game Everyone's grudge have been depending on the ammount of damage you have dealt to other monsters...
I guess they carried that concept over to the hate in FFXI
