Seems as though no one speaks about throwing weapons at all. Also, would it be more preferrable to use shurikens over a re-usable throwing weapon besides the cost of constant use?

Dont think there is a re-useable other than the boomerang which isnt a great throwing weapon, but the only reason you would use throwing weapons is to pull an enemy, you wouldnt attack with one unless you were a RNG using a bow but thats different..

I've found boomerangs to be very useful. I'm a 22 thief and I have the skill up to lvl 41.

I hit more often than not, and I do almost as much, sometimes more, then a normal hit and my skill isn't maxed. If I use the max range, I can get in two hits with it before the monster gets to me, so for soloing, it's nice.

I've also found it useful for when I pull a monster and I get bound. I just trade blows back and for with the boomerang, until I'm unbound, or it runs up to me and starts attacking. It helps in party play too, as you can still attack while others in the party beat up on the monster. Just join when you are unbound.

I've also been in situations where the enemies have a ranged attack. If you boomerang them first, they'll pull out their bow and sometimes won't rush you until they are down to 3/4 HP. With a theifs dodge, you'll avoid the attacks for a bit, and get some damage on him.

Mainly I use it for pulling, and that's what it should mainly be used for, but keeping the skill up gives you advantages of hitting it more often and for more damage, which is never a bad thing.

At lvl 22 you shouldnt be soloing, if your going to pull you should use it as i said unless you have provoke, if your bound while pulling something then your not pulling the right thing because out of all the guys ive faced, worms are the only ones that bind you when your pulling and they dont move.... if your bound while fighting it i guess it can help a little but the delay is horrible...

Who said I was soloing for exp or that those situations were in a serious party play? ^-^

The only usefull ness in serious party play is to pull the monster, and it doesn't matter if it hits or not, just that you pull it, though extra damage never hurts. Just be careful it's a magic user, otherwise you could get bound.

Shurikens do decent dmg and have a decent delay. If you can afford them they can help you get hate back from a mage or a dmg dealer while you wait for provoke to regen.

other than the boomerang, there's a chakram
Chakram = round thingy that Xena uses in her shows (for those who don't know)

When I do hit with my self bow and bone arrows, I usually do more damage than when I hit with a katana or sword.
