Damage

I'm only a level 9 Thief but should I be doing so little damage? I found that daggers suck till later and now use a sword because I find the H2H dmg/delay not worth it. Eventhough I use a Sapara (sp?) I still find my damage a little low. Is this because I don't have sneak attack yet or just me? Maybe it's because im Elvaan :(

Starting out as a thf is somewhat harder than other jobs at lower lv's.

A dagger is a thf's main weapon, it doen not deal alot of damage, but it has a short delay. I always had a dagger with me and used it in groups unless told otherwise for renkei using grapples, meaning i had monk as my sub most of the time. A sword is ok if you want higher attack, but i would stick with dagger, seeing as you will be using it later on.

Sneak attack is an ability you are going to get at lv 15, it will be turning point, and its just gonna go uphill from there. Without sneak attack you will not be as strong as some other people in your group, but you wont be to bad also.

Being elvann means more damage, and less dexterity. So thats not an issue.
