Ok, I know it's rather ahead of time, but is there any word if there will be NA and/or European servers? As in servers that seperate Jap, NA, and Europe?

I think a main aspect of FF XI is bringing people of different nationalities together. Hence, I don't think there will be seperate servers for different continents. I quite like that concept, though.

Yes, that would be how I'd see it aswel, only reason I was wondering is because I was going to import the game, and if then later they decided to create seperate servers, and I'd have to start over again.. but anyways, I'll just keep living my happy little life thinking that will never happen. :)

Even -if- they later on decided to create seperate servers, they would just move your data and you wouldn't have to restart. Seperate servers are unlikely for yet another reason, though: I'd imagine that a lot of Japanese/NA/European people don't want to move from the server they started on - linkshells, friends etc and afterall, they pay for it.
Squeenix would piss a helluva lot of people off if they even tried this and hence, lose customers.

What would be nice about a European Server is the lack of lag that we sometimes experience on the Japanese servers..
Other than that, bringing ppl from different continents together is working well atm...

Have yet to experience any lag in FF. (okay, gotta admint that I'm on my 3rd day, and other factors plays in aswell) I just came from a very very very laggy Anarchy Online, into FFxi and it feels like playing any other previous FF games.
Think the main reason I'd like to see european servers are the time diff between europe and NA/Jp. Alltho I like the idea of the mixing ppl from all over the world.
