I noticed the ring you get at start is for All Races. I tried to send the Sandorian ring to a Hume player but the guy at the AH won't send. Will trade work or is there no way to trade the ring to another player?

Its no drop. Kind of like the starting armor. You can put it in your safe, but can't give it to others.

Actually I think you can 'Drop' it but you cant sell or trade it.

Speaking of rings, I never got a ring when I first started out! Has this happened to anybody else? I'm an Elvaan who started out in Bastok. Is this because my home is supposed to be in San D'Oria? Just curious why that is...

Yes... you were supposed to start in San'd... although if you want the Bastok ring... I believe the Galka that stands by the gate to Gusta has one for your conquest points.

Its because you are an Elvaan in Bastok. Only Humes and Galka get the ring in Bastok. If you started in Sandoria you would of gotten a Sandorian ring. Likewise with TaruTaru and Mithras in Windurst

It's useless going back to windurst to get your ring. You can still get a ring if you reach rank 3 within your country. So let say you're a galka that started in San Doria without a ring. Reach rank 3 and sepnd conquest points for a ring. This applies to all other countries.

And about the trading. You CANNOT trade Ex items. The ring is Rare/EX meaning you can only have ONE per character, and you cannot trade it. There are quite a lot of Rare/Ex items in the game, include AF armor, sub job quest items and lots more.

about the af armor, i hear its a drop from rare nm's right?

so what does it drop enough for everyone fighting or do you have to fight it 6 times for it to drop enough for the whole party??

Hehe, I tried to get the Windurstian Ring by creating another Mithra char on the same server in Windurst. Since all my other friends all started in Bastok, I kinda had to start in Bastok too (am a Mithra so no ring for me). Thought I could just send it to my Bastok character's mog house, guess not hehe =P

AF armor isnt a rare drop off NM's. You obtain them from quests and such at certain lvls. Ill post a link to the quests for the AF if youd like.
