Q about different servers

What is the main difference between different servers??
it looks like Ragnarok is really popular but why??
they should all be equal correct?

Some servers (like Ragnarok) have been up since the Japanese release of FF XI. Therefore they are more populated than the servers that went up for the US release.

Of course Squeenix is trying to even it out, which is why they often set up new servers. But you can't -make- people leave their server to switch to a new one. If they choose to stay on Ragnarok, they stay on Ragnarok.

is there any way to see the stats of a server to see how many peeps are there ect?

also does neone know if you can check the server speed or hardware??

You can only check the amount of people currently on the server you are already on.

I don't think anything else is possible. The system will choose lesser populated servers when you make a character, though.
