How much mp do you really need?

As of right now im a lvl32 elf WHM
I was just wondering how much mp is enough in the long run lvl50+ or so. Ive seen a pretty good amount of lvl70 elf WHM's around town
Now i know some people will say the more you can get the better.
Im just wondering how true that is?
How much do you need before it starts to become over kill?

Just enough is actually...never enough. It's always better to have more in case a disaster strikes. Elvaan does in fact have the highest MND stat in the game but as for MP, they got jipped. That's why the best WHM race would be Tarutaru.

Yes, you can never have enough MP. The more you have, the longer you can go in chains without resting, the better you can handle emergencies, you can gil-farm for longer without resting, and in general life will be easier. ;) An Elvaan's MND stat doesn't make up for their lower MPs. But that's not to say that Elvaan or even Galka mages are undesirable, it's just that they have to play smart to make the most of their MPs.

And even Taru mages should be buying chocolate, juices, or other foods that affect MP to make things go faster.
