A Stupid Question...

So, when i get the game, i will begin as White Mage. Then after some levels, i'll go to Black Mage. So, is there any possibilites, that I could have somekind of job that i can cause some physical damage? Is there limit to Jobs??? And what could be the best Race for that?

None of the mages in FFXI deal any significant physical damage beyond level 30. If you want to play a mage, your offense (if any) will be your magic.

That being said, there are plenty of non-magic jobs you can switch to. The only job that can deal good physical damage and cast any sort of decent offensive magic is Dark Knight.
