I have limited knowledge about this subject but I don't think you will be able to find anything to speed up your hardware, other then replacing it.

ummm.....never heard such things to make your hard disk spin or access faster..try chainging the page filing on your hard disk and you might want to drefrag it a couple of times every week. And what kind of hard drive is it?

maxtor 80 gig my games run at full speed then jitter then full speed i have a very fast pc

wow dude u wanna say something other than I have a very fast pc? I have a very fast pc but it still slows down in ffxi at times. furthermore there is no way you'll get fps increase by speeding up ur hard drive. you sound like those people who say oh i have a Pentium 4. Its really FASST! Maybe you should give us some specs of on your "very fast pc" so we can tell you what you should do to increase your fps. but most likely you'll need to upgrade your "very fast pc"
