Ninja and Great Katana

I've seen a few ninja's using great katana's out there. any usefulness in this? i prefer the look over 2 small katana's.

You'll find at low levels (1-18[20]) Enhi is an incredibly strong WS to use. I personally used the lv12 2h katana until lv19, but also had a set of 1h katana to use. It's advisable to keep atleast 1 hand sword, 2 1h katana and a 2h katana with you early on, because you can contribute to renkei alot better. At higher levels, there are still 2h katana that are sam/nin, but these are considerably weaker models of the sword, although stronger than 1h katana. The true purpose underlying 1h katanas, imo, is the status effect additions to them. Almost every other 1h katana has an added status effect, HQ versions seem to be even stronger than the regular ones. The first of the series you can silence with at lv16, then poison at lv26, blind and defence down at lv40s, bind at lv50s, and the stronger katanas has critical hit+ on them. I don't think many other jobs have such a vast array of weapons that can deal status effects.
