Targeting nearest enemy

Hi guys. I've been reading thorugh macro FAQs. Is there a way to make a macro that automatically targets the nearest NPC or monster? I know F8 works. if not, then how can i map the F8 key to one of my buttons on my PS/2 controller? It is not listed in the gamepad configuration.
