Doing other Country's missions

I am from Windurst and have only achieve level 2 in rank. However, I am in bastok now and would like to do Bastok missions. Could I do so? If not, what must I do to be eligible for bastok missions? Thanks for any help.

You have to pay 10,000 gil to switch allegiances and I think you might need a minimum of Rank 3 to do so. A good few months back they made it so you won't lose all your CP though which is good.

I think, you can switch at every time, but you have to pay a bit more.

I think switching to Windurst costs 12.000 Gil (I did this with Level 8)
Bastok and San d'Oria costs much more.

Wow!!! 12 K! In your opinion, do you think it is worth it? I mean missions only give you rank points and Gil which your own country's will also do so. Therefore, is there any point?

I think the price varies depending on the countrys position in Conquest at that particular time, I just know it cost my friend 10k to swap from Windurst to Bastok recently so I guess thats an "average" price. His swapped once he had used his CP at 30 to get the stuff thats good for a Thief so he can get the Bastok mantle later on. A little foward planning can go a long way in this game.

After I finished San Rank 9 the rank 10 missions were still not available, so switched to Win to start those missions...cost 10K (San was first, Win second at the time). After getting Win Rank10, switched back to San...cost 40K (again San was first, Win second). Not sure if the price is different if say moving from 3rd to 2nd, 1st to 3rd, etc.

Just follow up (if anyone is reading) yesterday switched from San to Bastok (San first, Bastok last) and price was only 4K.
