I started off playing in Windurst. I had a really good time, it was easy to make money and it was easy to find good enemies and the quests were a nice bonus. I recently re-rolled to play with some friends. They decided to startin San d'Oria.

I was just wondering how hard/long would it take me to get to Windurst? Should I go by foot, chocobo, or airship? If the other two, how expensive is it?

If you're planning on trekking to Windurst anyway you should just start there again since you have a good feel for that kingdom. Then just meet them around level 15 in Selbina to start getting your subjob quest items together.

To get to Selbina you would take the ship in Mhaura (Buburimu region). That ship is your one way ticket to meeting up with your friends on the other continent. You won't be able to ride the air ship and chocobo til later so going by ship is your best option.

How long would it take to run to Selbina, take the ship to Mhaura, and then run to Windurst? How much would it cost?

100 gil for the boat. About 50 minutes if you know what you are doing and don't run into any trouble/mobs/death. I alloted about 2 hours the first time I did the trip and that was pretty close to correct.

Thanks. I ran from Windurst to San`Doria once (that place outside Jeuno with all the Yagudo was the worst, and I didn't have a map), so I should be able to do this. I just wanted something a lot faster cause that took too long.

Really? im lvl 13 and for the future i wanna no what items to get. where can i find out where i can get the items from?

I'm rather experienced in this department. My LS leader had us running all over kingdom come in the beta :)

Whatever you do AVOID ROADS! Those things spawn beastmen like nobody's buisness. Hug the mountains whenever you can, those seem to spawn very little beastmen. The Bubirumu Peninsula can be tough, gobs are freaking everywhere.
