Ranged weapons as whm

I realise these can't be used for whm (part from pebbles), but I was curious if I could use ranged weapons if I chose Ranger as a subjob. Would I need to make rng my main job before I could use them? Also am I right in thinking that whm/rng would mean I still couldn't use ranged stuff? :)

Unfortunately, you cant use weapons which your main job cant use, so you can not use ranger-weapons with rng as sub :(
