Slow Leveling

I have been playing for about 3 days and my warrior is only level 7. It seems like I should be higher and the next levels are going to take even longer. I am hunting in Sandoria (the newbie area) and have been killing Forest Hares, Carrion Worms and occasionally Scarabs, Orcs and Goblins. It takes a while and is only going to start taking longer.

Am I doing something wrong or is it supposed to be taking this long?

The leveling guide here wasn't helpful for me IMHO.

In Bastok area, as a level 14 *solo* warrior, I find it much faster to level in the Wadi chain killing low-level stuff for 15~21 exp each, as opposed to killing single higher-level monsters in Konstacht for 50~75 exp each.

Granted, in a party this might be different. Unfortunately (what am I doing wrong?) I find it HELLISHLY difficult to find a party.

Anyone want to party up with a level 14 warrior? -_-;
