View Full Version : Don't hit the Windows button! HELP!

hi everyone =o)
I HATE I WHEN I ACCIDENTLY SLIP TO WINDOWS IF I HIT A BUTTON OR SOFTWARE INTURRUPTS!

Is there any way to keep the game from shutting down if you close the full screen game window, or slip to windows by accident? or is there a way to dissable the Windows button keys from working while in-game?

as far as i know there's no way to disable it... :(

there might be a third party program you could find that might do it, but i'm just guessing

Yes there is actually, You can disable the windowskey if you want to. Lookup Winkey killer on google that program works great for me :cool:

anyone happen to know of a 3rd party program that can allow me to get to windows, and play at the same time? If you do it would help me immensly... *goes off to look for one on his own*

Look to your left... See the column that says Setup/Info Guide? Yeah, that one. Look under it... See the link that says Disable Windows Key? Click it :rolleyes: .

Just another way to do it if you're too lazy to use google :thumbsup:

Kay that thing under Setup/Info Guide sounds a wee bit risky. Especially knowing myself to get retarded and screw something up.

I just downloaded the WINkey Killer that SilverMatrix is talking about and it werks just great. ^^

Here is the solution to killing your Windows Key.

Its a simple regedit.

To Disable Windows Key

Registry Settings
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layout]
Value Name: Scancode Map
Data Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)
Value Data: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00

Reboot/Logout.... Enjoy!!:cool:

for all the intellitype software users, there should be an option in the key settings tab to disable the left windows key

I took it out of my keyboard... you can put it back in when you arent playing sooo it works out good. cuzI use it alot outside of the game
