Sub Job problem

ok all, im JUST getting started, and i was wondering what happens with the subjob deal. If i make my main job warrior, and at lvl 30 become a dragoon and have a White mage subjob, will i get a magic pool or am i wasting a subjob?

You'll get a small mana pool that will increase witht he level of the subjob.

I don't think whm is a very good choice of a sub for dragoon, they don't compliment each other very well. Just an opinion though. Usually it's best to stick with a theme, caster or melee and not mix them much.
