Hi Midnightt. I think I saw you leveling near the Southeast Tower in East Saru last night.

The Windurst Warriors linkshell is on the Phoenix server. The core of our group are several beta players. We're happy to help new folks get started in FFXI. We've added lots of new members over the last few days. Watch for the bright blue linkpearl icon.

It seems like there are many NA players on Phoenix now, which is great. The Japanese have also been very helpful (giving out protects and cures, good tips and advice, and even free items sometimes). The economy on Phoenix is also good -- it's been so much easier to make gil than it was during beta.

I am also one of the many members from the Windurst Warriors LS on Phoenix. I was the one who directed you to us to get your WP for Phoenix. Did you end up getting it from them last Thursday? I think I may have ran past you yesterday. I was in a hurry as I always am due to the limited time I have to play.

we got a party of 5 people under lvl 10 last night and kicked some baloon butt ;)

so misson 2 is done for me and i am now an official member of the Windurst Warriors... LOL as some of them commented it is about time :sweat:

OH and for those of you who want to get onto phoenix server try this.... this is how i got onto phoenix... :biggrin:

It's been mentioned that you can keep rerolling until you land on the server you want, but as I'm sure you're aware it can be a VERY time consuming process. There is a trick to make it much, much faster though.

1. Make a new character
2. Select all the attributes, race, job, etc etc
3. Select starting town.

4. ***The important step*** When the screen comes up to associate a handle with your character, press Escape. This will take you back to the main menu.
Go to character select and check which server your new toon is on. If he isn't on the server you want, delete, and when you go back to Create Character it has your previous settings memorized. You can literally spam the enter key through the options, get to the handle, escape, and check again. It typically only takes 5-10 minutes to land on the server you want, as each attempt only takes about 10 seconds on a fast computer.

While it isn't as good as, oh I don't know, actually selecting the server you want, it does make getting your friends in the same spot a lot cheaper.

I'll be getting the game on Wednesday (Eb had to send the order twice because the first one got lost by UPS :mad: ). Expect to see me on Phoenix that same day :)

I'll be using the above described trick to get on the server, so I hope it won't take too long. I'll be a WHM when I start out.
