Experience Penalty for lower players?

Currently we are going through the late teens and early 20's only to find a disturbing trend. So far, anytime we group with anyone that is more then 2-3 levels behind our highest group member, the experience basically sucks so bad for the low guy, it is hardly worth grouping in some cases. Does this gap open up a bit more at higher levels or not matter so much? It is pretty rediculous to be anything then 5-7 levels.

Currently our group is 17, 18, 19, 19, 19 and 20. The guy at the front who is level 20 is pulling more and more ahead of the lowest guy at 17 and we are only exping together. Shouldn't the system be setup so that the guy at 17 gets a little more xp for his level to lower the gap? It honestly doesn't make sense to me in such a group intensive game like this.

Any light shed on this would be appreciated.

I never got high enough in the beta to know if it opens up or not. I can say that there is a exp bonus for the highest lvl person, but I can't say what that percentage difference would be for the losest lvl person.

wow lukkor..whats ur playtime?? almost 20..what server are u on?

umm it will never umm..break that trend..its real good to stay 2-3 levels together....it will always drastically cut ur xp if ur anymore then 3 levels below the highest member..

No, he means will the lowest person ever catch up to the highest, or at least quit losing ground to him. I would suggest the lower people level without the higher person...just have them sit there for a minute. :)

yes, lower lvl players in a party will get less exp. and in theory, if u continue leveling as it has, no, that lvl 17 guy will never catch up in exp; but as to the lvl, he/she will, 'cause the exp required to the next lvl will be a lot more as u lvl higher, thus putting all of u guys in the same lvl at some point.
