Well i got 1350 on low resolution and on high.... some of those tancarus or whatever were missing their heads and then it crashed halfway through the test :( .Here are my Specs:
Pentuim 3
1000 Mhz
320 RAM
32 MB Geforce 2 Video Card (sucks i know)
I was wondering if i upgraded my video card to 128 MBs (not sure what kind but prob some Geforce) what kind of score i might get, just a estimate thx in advance

You'd need about a 2000 mhz processor, 512-1 gig of ram, and a good geforce 4 or an ati 9000+ to make 2500 or so.
Upgrading only the graphics card probably would only take you up to 1500. Can't say for sure, though

for bout 80 bucks you can get a nvidia 5200 fx
pci slot card
for 140 you can get an agp one
your score should go up to about 2100
my older system my son uses is about the same as yours
no reason to get a card better then the 5200 fx one
as your system not going to get much more from it
but you sould see a huge differents with just that card ungrade
he did
card is 128 mb

I got almost the same specs as you chorno.
using a 1.8 Mhz
512 ram
Geforce 4 MX 440 64meg
Im scoring almost 1900 on low rez , 1300 on high .
So by upgrading to a 128 meg card , im assuming your score will be over 2200 or so.
I was thining on upgrading to a 128 meg card myself, but decided against it, until I actully tried playing FFXI 1st with my current setup. No sence on shelling out 100 bucks for a new card if its only going to raise my score a few hundred points. And since im stuck to using crappy PCI cards, I will wait till I can afford a newer computer with an AGP slot , before I start upgrading my Video card.
But in your case , going from a 32meg to a 128 meg card will make a big differance in perforance. Prob 1000 points worth.

One must always remember that a video card is limited by the cpu. Meaning that even with a ATI 9800pro running in a P3 machine, the performance will still be bad.
You pretty much need to upgrade your entire PC. If you want a cheap setup go with AMD 2200+ or better and ATI 9100, which should result in a score of 4000+.
I myself have a AMD 1700+@2300+ and a ATI 8500 (same as 9100) 64mb and 512mb DDR@143mhz and I get a score of 4500 in low res. This was all value hardware, super cheap, and I got that quite a while ago. You can get sweet hardware now for a good price.

ok thanks for ur guyes opnions u see my freind is buying a 256 MB video card so he says he might give me his old 128, which would be nice since then i just might be albe to play and not wait for the PS2 version, so with the new 128 card u think i could run the game prety well on low res? i'm gonna get the PS2 version when it comes out though, i hope to have a even better experince. :spin:
PS. is it just me or this site takes forever to load...

you could probably run it in high-res at 1024x768 with that card your friend is giving you...

I wouldn't trust the benchmark :/ I got a 856 rating for some reason yet I fit the recommended requirements.
320 MB
Geforce3
Intel Celeron 790 mhz~ (I guess this is where I hurt because its 10 mhz slower than the minimum required processor...time to upgrade)
Directx 9.0b

Go to pricewatch.com and it will tell you around what you should be paying for it. Under Multimedia select Video cards and it will show you the low price on the internet of about every video card out there.
I would suggest a Geforce4 ti 4200 64MB. I don't think your computer could use much more and that The low price for that is $73. Oh also ignore that the FX series is cheaper at the low end because from what I've seen around here those are a piece of crap unless you get the 5900 which your computer would never use it to it's full potential. There is probably a Radeon equivlent but I don't know much abut Radeons so i can't help you there.
