monk renkei question

yooo guys i have two questions i hope somebody can answer cuz i'm really confuse over here.

1.- are all the monk renkei chainable, i mean if all the monk WS are they chainable with any of other WS of other job classes or do you have to follow a particular pattern.

2.- Which weapon skills are related with which elements, do you have to follow that, like if a BLM uses a fire spell i have to use a skill that has Ice base or water, im really lost here.:confused:

All weapon skills are chainable to some number of other weapon skills.

Monk doesn't have any "elemental" weapon skills like Frostbite or Raiden Thrust. The renkei itself is elemental, but not because of the monk skill. The BLM needs to match the spell to the element of the renkei, not the weapon skill. For example, if someone uses "Raiden Thrust" to complete "Fusion" lightning will not creat the desired burst. Fire or Divine will.
