I'm going to go with an Elvaan MNK/WAR for my main. Another character of mine will be a Tarutaru of some kind... Haven't decided on a class yet.

I'll start off as a Taru taru Red Mage. Because too many "american" players will make Galkas and beefy stereotypical ones, lol. That and I love variety- so RDM was an obvious choice.

These are the classes that interest me right now, dark knight, dragoon, ninja, thief and red mage.

Probably be either a Dragoon/Dark Knight or Ninja/Thief.

The one and only strongest most powerful class combo out there.

SMN/BLM or BLM/SMN. The amount of MP you receive from this combo as a BLM is just ridiculous. When Bahamut is added you will all regret making fun of me for this one.

PLD/WAR I enjoyed it alot in beta so I will stick with that. Of course there will be about 4 other subs that I wanna level so I have an unlimited choice :)

i'll start full time with a BLM.

then change to DRK and BST right at 30. lvl up the BST to 15.

and go full on DRK.

my goal is to get all jobs over 50 in retail.

so it's not a matter of which is main and which is not.

I honestly think I'm just going to continue Paladin for retail.. I've had a field day with it in beta. I may quite possibly lvl WHM to 25-26 after I get PLD to 50+ so I can run around like a goob for a while and raise when I get bored (Then when it's out of my system go back to lvling to 75 so I can use raise as a paladin).

But this time around.. no hume for me. Mind you I had fun with it, but it's time for something new. Last 2 weeks we have beta I intend to do all out stupid things ^^ (Bloodtear Battle Royale, try to see if I can make it into Behemoth's cave with a lv1 job >D, um.. loads of moronic things.. did I mention I snapped from that expansion level crunch?)

Triden: Will start as a thf til 18 to get some cash, go war/thf til 30, then do pal quest and switch over to pal/war

Katagi: Will start as a war til 18, thf/war til 30, then do ninja quest and go thf/nin and thf/war, leveling them both, but thf/nin for the most part.

WHM is my ultimate primary job. Even though I used to be all about the destruction, blowing up, etc of BLMness.

a red mage was pretty fun on beta, but i did solo a lot so to me it made more sense. for the real thing i'll have a set party of six, so its white mage for me. Im gonna tear it up with Holy! (.. eventually)

I was thinking War/Whm but a lot of people start out as warrior. So I read more and thought Monk as a main job was a good idea but I have yet to find out why no one likes them :).

With all the monk speed boosts, and the Bst tamer Killers abilities....Then a lil friend to help do more dmg =DDDD

from what i see Samurai are Gods at getting TP, and Rangers, get uber Accuracy (that means to both ranged and melee :) ) So ill do a ton of Specials, and never miss...

Well... I'll admit it:
For beta, I've been a moron. I started THF, and went to BLM, so now I'm a 19THF/5BLM. As you can probably guess, my character isn't that good. (Except for Sneak Attack, mind you. That skill is a god send)

Anyway, for retail, here's what I figure I'll do.

I'll level 2 main jobs, and 2 magical jobs.
Here's how it will go until I get my final combos.
MNK
WHM
MNK/WHM
NIN/WHM
BRD/WHM
Then by this time, they should all be high enough to switch between them. And I can make any combos out of the 4.
Either go full power, or full magic.

I'm still undecided.

I'll probably go RNG/NIN or RNG/SAM, but I don't know what to start out as. Maybe thief for the money.

Then I might go PAL/SAM or DRK/SAM. Just for fun...I think a lot of people are focusing on getting good stats instead of really getting into the spirit of the game.
