I was wondering if it were possible to use your PS2 controller to move around and do other stuff AND use the keyboard shortcuts for macros and the like without changing the settings.
If this isn't possible, can somebody tell me how many macros you can assign to a controller as opposed to a keyboard?
Ragura,
I'm sure that no matter what you use, that them mouse and keyboard would still be active, how else would you type messages. I'm actually going to buy a PS2 adapter and try it out. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Well, I'm assuming that you are using a PC and not a PS2, but for the PS2 beta I have a USB keyboard plugged into my PS2 which I use to type all the messages, and then I use the PS2 controller to move and for actions and macros. I am assuming that if you plug the PS2 controller into a PC, you can assign macros the same as PC. I'm not sure of the number of macros that you can assign, but it was quite a few. With the PS2, at least, you can type messages with either the controller or a USB keybaord, although the keyboard is of course much faster!;)
Bought the PS2 adapter yesterday AND I LOVE THE GAME WITH IT! However I didn't play long enough to try any macros. I'll try tonight after work.
