YES! Finally our LS decided to go hunt Behemoth! There are all togather 18 members. 3 Dark Knights, 2 White Mages, 2 Black Mages, 2 Knights, 2 Bards, 3 Red Mages, 2 Monks and 2 Warriors. We built up our TP to 300 before starting the battle. Once the war begins, all of us uses the Single Handed Sword 200 skill: Spirits Within which took away this beast's 1/20's HP.

Behemoth has an estimated HP of 50K, with terribly high defence and evade rate, uses Tripple attack and Double attack, and each attack inflicts like 150-300 to a Lv60 Knight so if the triple attck hits a taru white mage... its going to be instant kill.

After the battle started, Knights kept taking the target, healers and Mages keep healing, Bards use only Ballart I and I + Eregy Songs to enable MP regain, and others just kept attacking. After real day 1 and half hour battle, at last we slained this super strong monster, and got "Behemoth Bane" as our title ;)

Behemoth found! Ready for battle!

Ooh nice!
BTW how many people does it take to kill Western Shandow?

People know it's killed because it has a rare pop and it's either there or not.

Heh, the western shadow looks like a drow, real cool. Square should make that a character race in the future.

damn, thats the kind of stuff i want to do, i guess, just some of the enemies you can't tackle without like a lot of characters, sounds awesome though, this is an off topic question, can any class use any weapon? and now about the behemoth, that shit looks scary as hell, i would've run o_o+

If they inspect you, your 'title' is printed in their chat wndow.

There are several different things that may appear next to a players name.

A colored luminous sphere represents a player who has a LinkShell activated. Linkshells are simply private chat lines for people to create and distribute...rather clanesque, but not officially. Different colors designate different LSs

A white circle with three blue dots represents a player that is Away. Just let's people know that they are AFK.

A red circle with a broken white line represents a player that has lost their connection, most (en and jp) describe this condition as R0 (from the connection status in the top right corner of screen. R0 = you aren't recieving packets from the server/big time latency(lag)). They aren't going to respond and may or may not simply disappear after connection failure.

The Bag next to the name indicates a player has items avaiable for sale via the Bazaar System. All one would need to do is inspect that character and click the Bazaaring button underneath the equipment window to purchase items. Many people do this and normally sit in crowded/high traffic areas for business.

As for ranks, players, currently, can be ranks 1-6. As you do missions (and eventually, turn in crystals) your rank bar will increase. once it's near full, a certain mission will be available to increase your rank. Rank is just a way of symbolizing progress in the actual story in the game. (Rank 1 has just started, Rank 6 has defeated the Shadow Lord) Also, certain conquest items are only available to people of a certain rank.

Don't get rank and title confused though.

You title is merely a subname given to indicate recent events in your characters history (for example, as listed above, those who slay Behemoth are bestowed with the title "Behemoth Bane", or one who just finishes the Beastmaster Advanced Job quest attains the title "Animal Trainer")

One of the best threads in this topic to date heh thank you soo much:thumbsup: But from reading the posts i have a couple quick questions... one.. is level 60 the max level till the expansion hits? cuz ive seen a lot of level 60's and it seems rather respected as well i havnt seen any level 61 +. Lastly when Behemoth or any other NM drops a rare like that spear you said you received is only one givin to all 18 people or does everyone who allied get one? juss curious and again thanks for posting such a dope battle heh:thumbsup:

Walking Speed +12%? I'm not sure what else this could mean but... does it actually make you walk around faster? If so, I need to get me a pair.

Though i havn't played the game i imagine it just affects your agi? it would be too awkward if some people in your party ran/walked at a different pace than you did or vise/versa heh

Alex

no, there is ability that makes you run faster. I saw it a couple of times already.

Jherrith
01-23-2003, 10:51 AM
That's probably the thief's ability to run fast in order to flee battles.

Strider Boots enable you to walk/run around fatster. Unfortunately, only Thieves and Ranges are able to euip it. ^^;

I was wondering.... Is Behemoth like the current hardest HNM? It seems like he is... If so, Square will probably unleash the harder HNM's on us later on.

matek
01-27-2003, 06:20 PM
The current strongest HNM is a marlboro type monster called Capricious Cassie (C.C).

FYI, HNM Difficulty order:
Capricious Cassie >>> Serket > Behemoth > Roc = Simurgh > Lunberjack = King Artro > NM Demons

Talis

What if i may ask does HNM stand for?
