Ive heard the main discrempincey with playing RNG is the cost of arrows and such. But im really looking to sub one with my SAM.

1. About how much ARE common arrows?
2. Is there a fletching skill you can get up to make them?
3. Can you buy quivers to hold bundles of arrows?

~Thanks~

Arrows are 3, 4, 8, 30, or 140 gil a piece. (Just about. I think my rank changed prices a bit.)

You can make arrows in the guild crafting, but you'll really just have to buy your ammo with gil.

99 arrows stack in one inventory space.

WOW....30-140 gil a PIECE seems alot for arrows. I dont kno how much gil you get a fight i havent played yet but that seems like alot. Are those REALLY good arrows? Id want them to be if im payin 140 a pop.....*sigh* hopefully my 3-5gil arrows do somewhat good damage. ;)

Thanks for the info-id like more on arrows if anyone has any :)

did u mean sub a ranger on ur sam? if thats what u said i dont think thats a good idea sam cant use a bow (i think)
but a rng/sam would be cool if u can manage not to get all the hate from such dmg

edit
my mistake they can use arrows they have a C

Im almost positive a SAM can use a bow-from wut ive seen on the boards. I just dont think they can use crossbow or gun.

And on the RNG/SAM thats is a good point why not to do that combo, big time damage, big time hate, but i also like the swords and armor SAMS can wear, plus dont want my bow to be primary wep. Seems a little exspensive.

A friend of mine is quiting hit ninja (lv61) and now has been playing a ranger.

He said to me that actually ninja is way more expensive than ranger especially if he is the main tank.

He stated that most high lv ranger use the metal arrow sold in jeuno for about 8g each, and very rarely use the elemental arrow (maybe when fighting boss or HNM something like that).

So if anyone wanna play a ranger, go for it. At least you can kill tigers to cover the arrow cost no problem i think.

Anyway, we gotta let pros like tongyang(farplaner) the clear this topic.. .. cuz. my ranger is.... lv1! ^^;

WHOOT-thats some good news ;)
Yea i kinda expected NIN ninjitsu to be very exspensive. At first i was thinking about being a SAM/NIN but not anymore. Thats sweet u can get SOME nice arrows for low price. You got to get ur buddy to post some info for me that be great. :)

P.S. I see u subbing a SAM. How are they?? Im lookin to make SAM/RNG.

40k cp? i hope to god ur not talking about copper. I thought Gil was the only form of currency.... >:(
I hated the 4 different currencies in EQ.(plt, gold, silv, copper) way to hard to make any money. Isnt Gil only money in FFXI?

CP is Conquest Points. I'll bet those arrows are 40k CP for 99 or something.

I never have the courage to try exchange that thing.... too afraid I might only get 1 bolt. (for bastok i think it's a bowgun bolt)

ranger is expensive but not too expensive.... if it's really not worth the money i doubt there would be any level 70 rangers at all. high level rangers aren't that common but aren't that rare either

oooh good-had me worried there for a second. 40,000 CP tho im assuming that take a long time to get. Arent CP's earned by taking over areas for your kingdom? Thats how you get ranks too?
