What Tv size?

This may be a little early, but what tv/tv size do you suggest. And don't say: use a computer. I just wanna know, which tv will give a resolution great for FFXI. ;)

The size of the tv is only going to affect the size of the picture, not the resolution. If you play on a 13" tv, the menus are going to be in the same spots as if you played on a 24" tv. It's just like playing any other Ps2 game on different size tv sets. :spin:

That's one reason why people like to play the pc version instead of the Ps2 one. You actually have control over how large or small the menu windows are because they can control the resolution.

I'll keep my Ps2 version though. I like being able to lean back on pillows and chill versus sitting upright in a chair.

i play on a 27" TV and the text in the chat screen and in the menus is pretty legible.

i also use the S-video cable, which provides slightly better resolution than the standart RCA cable.

Yea, just dont play on a like, an 80 inch screen. My friend with Beta has a super big TV, and it honestly dosent do the game justice. If the game resoloution for PS 2 was 1024 by 768, then it might be feasable... but since its just 800 by 600, it really craps up the graphics.

Just my take on it.

I played on a 54 inch tv and it looked all right. All that space but a horrible resolution cause of PS2.
