do i need a codec or sopmething i have win media 9. im not even sure wat the cam really is. do i need a camera also??

i did download one of the divx ther but i still only get sound :( . plz help!!

What is your connection? The first livecam streams at 250 kbits/second, so 56k dialup is inadequate without a large buffer.

Try downloading the latest version of Windows Media Player. That's what I did. I as well was having this problem for a couple hours, til i fixed it.

I downloaded the DivX latest version, and it still did crap because it isn't a proper file to be playing in DivX. So, I went to the next step, and updated my Windows Media Player, which, was already the newest one I had, because it came with Windows XP.

So, after you get the latest windows media player, simply copy the URL for the camera that you want to watch, and paste it into the "Address" thing in internet explorer....you know, where u type in all the www.a;gabb.com and stuff like that...(no....thats not a real webpage)....then the live cam will open in the Internet's Windows Media Player, and you can maximize the window and move it around and adjust and all that fancy stuff.

^^^ Where exactly do I update my WMP and when I am there, what do I need to click on to update it?? I have tried this many times and it just won't work for me. Thing is, I used to watch this live cam with the same EXACT setup I have now. I have cable modem, windows XP, a dell computer thats only a year and a half old.

i've had this problem before, and i searched through my computer, and found that the orcish vid cam inserted a small, not harmful, virus in my computer, that i was lucky enough to eliminate, thanks very much whoever put that there, and now i can't get video through the live cam anymore, props to the idiot who put that virus on the live came, nice job.
