Cable Modem Setup Questions

i'm using a PS2 and a cable modem that can either use USB or ethernet. connecting to the internet still requires a username and password and it isn't PPPOE.

does anyone know how i can directly connect the modem?

If the PS2 can set up the user/pass login stuff, then connecting your PS2 directly to the cable modem will require you to disconnect the cable modem's power for a few minutes. You'll have to do the power disconnect again when you want your PC on the cable modem. This annoying requirement is usually solved by a hardware router with built-in switch.

I don't know about setting up ps2 software. Mew!
