Can someone tell me about the 4 new NA servers? Is it only a rumor or true? Anyone know names of these servers?

It might be a rumor, but it seems logical but there not gona be NA servers, playonline is gona do what they did last time, take players from the most loaded servers and split them up into the 4 new servers, so it will still be japanese and american players in the same server, there will be no such thing as a NA server only or a japanese server only.

I guess Cactuar would be one, not sure about any others, but I'm sure there'll be at least one more.

Its logical for them to make more servers for the impending NA FFXI release. Keep in mind though noone knows what is going to happen in regards to the server situation, but this much is known...English players can create characters on Japanese servers and Japanese players can create characters on English servers. The location of the new servers is still unknown, but for reasons of techinical issues and latency I would expect them to place a number of the servers in California near SQE-USA HQ. If I was SQE I would have at least 5-10 new servers ready for launch for the english users.

I have said all of this a number of times before, so I will say it again. Nothing is set in stone, and noone knows for sure what will happen with the game when it is finally released here. Take everything you hear with a grain of salt, and just wait and see what will happen.
