(This is entirely made up, there is no Dancer in FFXI and there may NEVER be a Dancer in FFXI.)

Dancer's not my favorite Job ever, but I'd like to see it in this game eventually. I see it as a hybrid melee job. Here's my version:

Stats/Equips
HP is down there with WHM, other stats are similar to a Ninja's, though weaker at all levels, and with a Charisma boost. They can wear cloth and leather armor, and their tradmark Carpet weapons. Their AF Armor is straight out of FFT, but BLUE, like Celia's.:biggrin: They can also equip instruments, allowing them to sub Bard. Hooray!

Passive Ability / Level / Description
Attack Save / 10 / Attack rises when hit with physicals attack.
Sex Appeal / 20 / Attacks cause slightly less hate.
Evasion UP / 30 / Self explanatory.
Brave Save / 40 / TP rises faster when HP is lower.

1H Sword B
1H Blunt C
Carpet A
Parry B
Evade C

Singing: E
String Instrument: E
Wind Instrument: E

Job Ability / Level / Description
Dances last one minute, refresh one minute and twenty seconds after being activated, and are used while in combat (unless otherwise noted.) You cannot Sing, cast spells, or used ranged weapons while dancing. Dancing disables Parry, but not evade.
Revolution 9 / 01 / Activates hidden powers of all dances (noted in parenthesis.) Lasts 10 minutes.

Dervish Whirl / 05 / Evasion up. (50% evasion)

Flirt / 07 / Reduces hate, 60 second refresh. (Not a dance!)

Race Specific Dance* / 10 / ????

Polka Polka / 15 / Annoying dance acts as a taunt [Temporarily negates Sex Appeal], drops target's Strength. (Strength debuff becomes AoE.)

Wiznaibus / 18 / Attack delay down by 20%, Strength down 20%. Stacks with Haste. (Attack delay decreases further, strength is not decreased.)

Jitterbug Duet / 22 / Drain target's HP for amount equal to 5% of your MaxHP every 8 seconds. 3 min refresh.

Dissilusion Waltz / 30 / Drops target's Int steadily. (Destroys target's MP in hearty chunks.)

Witch Hunt / 38 / Drops target's Mind steadily. (Syphons off target's MP, giving it to the group.)

Nameless Dance / 44 / Must have weapon sheathed. Every 10 seconds, a random debuff is used on the target with a 50% chance of success. (AoE, pulse reduced to 8 secs.)

Dance of Blades / 50 / 30% chance of double attack, 15% chance of triple attack. Stack with WAR/THF abilities. (Percentages double.)

He as to many abilities in my opinion ..plus i've never really liked a dancer job. Only thing I would maybe like to see is a inventor like person ..who can create their own stuff to attack something.

The last thing we need is another job which requires a shitload of gil to level up.

True...then why so many topics about new jobs?....People are making up new things for a game that hasn't even came out yet...kind of sad...:sweat:

Hmm a good thing for a dancer would be to interact with Bard Songs. Like the Dancer would Dance to the Bard songs, and increase their effectiveness. I dont know too much about how a Bard works so i can't get into this idea too much, so anyone who knows could add more :P

Well, let's not cut the guy down here for sharing his ideas ... sheesh :o

I personally like the idea of a class designed for reducing hate, along the same lines as DRG, only with cumulative effects ... I think it could (just like every other job in FF history with the exception of the upgrades from FF1 and 3, such as White Wizard and Warlock) be implemented. :)

Because we're bored?:sweat: I do junk like this for FFT all the time.
