Another dragon question

I'm from Windurst, and I went to San Doria first and killed the Orcish leader, so now I'm in Bastok and I need to do the dragon part.

Is it possible to kill the dragon from Windurst or San Doria instead of Bastok, or will the NPCs know?

I ask because there seem to be more people interested in doing it in those towns than there are in Bastok.

Not sure if you still need this info, but if you've already accepted the Sandoria part then I'm pretty sure you need to complete it at Bastok.

Happily I've completed the mission, but I'm still curious as to whether you could do the dragon part at any of the three locations.

Interesting experiment for someone to try out, I guess.
