Let's see...

The last part of every Mission 6 is a dragon encounter, in this case, the San d'Orian dragon.

The first part usually entails a task in the zone preceding the Burning Circle, in this case, Giddeus just off of West Sarutabaruta.

From secondhand reports, I think you need to get the Aspir Knife and Parana Shield off of the Ninja Yagudo from in there.

Aaand... had you read my post, you would note that I answered your question on what to do.

Bastok's Mission 6 is the Emissary Mission.

You head out to the foreign nation's consulates and do tasks for them.

If you head to Windurst first, you will have some mundane task to do for them. Again, I only know from secondhand, but I believe this task is to get some items from Giddeus.

If you then go to San d'Oria, you will recieve the second part of the mission from the consulate, to head to the Burning Circle (I forget the name of the BC zone in San... Horlais Peak?) and defeat the dragon there.

I personally did the San d'Oria part first, thus fighting the Windurst dragon. Remember, they are simply two different options in the same Mission.

Hey, don't ask me, remember, that info's secondhand. You're better off just getting to the Windurst consulate and actually paying attention to what your consul says.

I would, if I had to guess, assume that you'd hand it back to the consul. (Be careful, the Bastok consulate in Windurst actually has two rooms)

You might have to change a few things, since you are from Bastok instead of San d'Oria.

Read this one: http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24271

Your mission should be similar, except you have to give them a knife, I am guessing. And in exchange you need to get two knives back. So your items are knives instead of shields. I do not know for sure, but this may help you.

uhh no. for win->san you just go to giddeus, talk to the guy standing outside the treasure vault doors.. he'll refuse the dull blade you have, and ask you for one that one of the other yagudo's have.. specifically, 'xxxxx the ironweaver' (can't remember the front of his name)

so.

1. go to giddeus
2. find the treasure vault.
3. talk to the yagudo standing at the door
4. go back to the nearest junction
5. kill one of the funny named yagudos (something the ironweaver)
6. get his aspir knife
7. give it to the yagudo at the vault
8. go back to bastokan consul in windurst
9. go to sandoria
10. i haven't done this part yet :D

The Yagudo ninjas you must fight for the Aspir Knife are called Eyy mon Ironbreakers. They have super-high evade, you cannot solo them until level 18 at the lowest, though you should be able to party them at around level 13-15.

Me and four other members of my LS finished this mission early last night. Gotta tell you, it was an awesome battle! With death, hair-raising tension, and us barely escaping alive -- and heck, I even got the final hits in on the dragon and its spotter.

But yes, as they've said, you'll need to kill Ironbreaker for the Aspir Knife, and trade that over. Then after you've talked to the consulate in Windurst again, head over to San d'Oria and head to the consulate there. You'll be given another task, which involves killing a Warchief I believe. It was on the way to the dragon, so we just ran up, killed the Warchief in a few hits, then continued on past it towards the dragon.

The area surrounding the dragon's burning circle is filled with monsters that conned Tough to me at level 21. We fought our way through there, and made it to the dragon.

We've fought it twice, so far. First time, me, a war, a whitemage, and a monk were defeated because it decided to do its multi-hitting attack three times in a row.

The second time, we brought along one other person, a redmage. We're all above 20, and the dragon was fairly easy except for when it decided to Curse our tank. In the end, we still won. Just need to make sure you're prepared, and the dragon's a cinch.

I did something similar. I'm from bastok and i did the windurst part first becuase it was more convinent at the time. I finish it (gave the bird its knife) and went to San DOria for the other part. Ok so i go to the outpost and kill the warchief, come back to my consul and nothing happend....it says my mission is still incomplete...

what gives???

I'm still on second part, I speak to Bastok consul and they tell me to talk to an NPC in the castle, who just tells me to "Investigate the Yughott Grotto. I go there and solo some orcs, and I kill Warchief Vatgit who is outside in the ghelspa outpost. I don't get any dropped items or anything, I return to speak to the NPC, they tell me to report my findings to the consul, who tells me to go see the NPC for more information. Catch 22?

Ok I figured it out. "Investigate the Yughott Grotto" is fighting the dragon. There is multiple solutions to complete this mission.

The mission is basically 2 parts. Start the first part in one of the 2 cities, and after completion, fight the dragon in the other city.

The walkthrough here only goes through one of the possible solutions to kill the dragon. That is, you goto San D'Oria first then fight the dragon in Windurst. (if you are Bastokian)

Anyways, the dragon fight is my most memorable fight ever! It was awesome. We had 4 ppl at the time who wanted to kill the dragon (took me 5 hours to get a PT). We get to the boss panel and only 3 of us made it through because one of them had to fight the dragon in Windurst. So, my PT consisted a WAR, RDM, and THF (me). Everything was at risk. The RDM and I would have to start over, and the WAR would delevel if we died.

Skipping details, everything was executed perfectly! We didnt plan anything, all was through instinct and good teamwork. In the end, we were all in the reds.

Moral of the story: Get a healer! (that is Rank 3 or has to fight the dragon in the city you have to fight it in) The Rdm ran out of mp after 4 cure2's. Scary stuff. (we were lvl 25 btw)

Good Luck.

It seems an item is required for the burning circle fight though. Does anyone know what item is required for the Burning Circle in San'Doria?
