What is a good Main/Sub job for an Elvaan. The only jobs I am interested in are warrior, paladin, dark knight, samurai, ninja, dragoon knight. I want to be able to attack high, take some damage and avoid attacks so I guess that would be an all round character.

all around character is a hume
there is no master job for an elvaan. There is no master job for anyone. like whats his name said in my "worst race/job combo" said, "I prefer to call it challenging" just go out and experiment em out

No I didn't mean all round as in a hume I meant as in average but what are some good job combinations with the ones I am interested in?

warrior, paladin, dark knight, samurai, ninja, dragoon knight
warrior i would say monk, u could do mass dmg and fast attacking. paladin sub job should be warrior and its a must, u need to taunt if ur gonna be the abuse taker. Dark knight i say monk or warrior, dark knight does good dmg so u can either do good dmg really fast, or bigger dmg, not so fast but got some good health too. Im sorry, but i have nothing for samurai, ninja sub should be Monk to my thoughts. ninja's 2 hand weapons with the monks speed would be cool to see. You might like thief if u wanna swipe some stuff too. and no idea about dragoon knight.
dont take my advice too much, i dont have the game. This is just my suggestion
Warrior/Monk
Monk/Warrior
Paladin/Warrior
Dark Knight/Warrior
Samurai/Warrior
Dragoon/Warrior
Those are some real good ones..

warrior is basicaly the best sub job for a lot of things, monk is good too. i dont want them to be my main job because i consider em as sub jobs, i know they could be good ones to be, but i would rather have them as the sub jobs.

hmm monk's speed does nothing with ninja's hand weapons

That would be monk, samurai or warrior I think. Monk seems to do the most dmg, highest HP, but its defense is lower than war and samurai(correct me if i am wrong). Samurai seems to do more damage than warrior but a bit lower in defense? no? i am not sure about this.
Samurai does more damage than Warrior but they have less accuracy.
If you want an all round job then go for Warrior...whatever sub you want...
