Couldnt make out your first sentence....but yes there are people playing the JP version. Yes you should get this over SWG. Even though SWG is out, people said it's like paying for a beta. Doesnt feel finished.

Definately get this game over SWG....I own SWG and it is not fun...well, it's not the worst game....I've cancelled my prescription....I'm going to wait for the Space Expansion to come and resubscribe

people like PiNG have been playing FFXI for almost a year, about 3/4ths.
this forum was founded on the PS2 release, and its built up with JP PC importers, which they're many of now.

ah ok, i see (btw, the word in my first sentence was meant to be playin ;)) well, i am going to play the game on PC, is the beta out for that yet? if so, where can i sign up? (if thats still possible)

the beta ended 2/3 months ago, as far as i know
the game, if you look about, is being released in october '03 if you're planning on buying it
